Report highlights 20 Years of CCS Research & Development in USA

A recently released report, “Safe Geologic Storage of Captured Carbon Dioxide: Two Decades of DOE’s Carbon Storage R&D Program in Review” dives into how the department and NETL and other national laboratories, research organizations, and industry stakeholders have worked collaboratively to meet the challenge of addressing the emission of greenhouse gases while ensuring the continued use of fossil fuels that underpin our nation’s economic prosperity.

LAUNCH-CCUS Webinar: Accelerating the commercial implementation of carbon capture

LAUNCH, an international research project focusing on the development of novel carbon capture solvents for use at scale by industry and as part of efforts to speed the delivery of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) worldwide, is organising its first webinar on Wed 20 May, 11:00 - 12:00 CEST. Pre-ACT webinars

The Pre-ACT project (www.sintef.no/pre-act) will during the spring of 2020 arrange a series of webinars summarizing important findings from nearly three years of research on topics ranging from CO2 pre-injection modelling/experimental studies and novel monitoring concepts, to conformance verification strategies, decision making guidelines, and storage case studies in the North Sea. The webinars are open to all and include a Q&A, as an efficient means of communication in times of travel/event restrictions.
