Final report from the RETURN project

The RETURN project have studied how to enable safe and cost-efficient long-term CO2 storage in depleted oil and gas reservoirs by understanding and handling cooling and CO2 phase change effects during injection. Research required to reach this goal is addressed in three main scientific work packages focusing on:

  • Coupled well-reservoir flow modelling

  • Near wellbore processes, and

  • Wellbore integrity.
