ABSALT Final Report

The the overall aim of ABSALT has been to accelerate the development of solids adsorption looping technology and thereby improve technology for CO2 capture.

Silica-polyethyleneimine (PEI) is a leading candidate amongst strongly basic adsorbents post-combustion capture. A completely new water-based procedure for preparing silica-alkoxylated polyethyleneimines (APEIs) has been devised in the ABSALT project with very good results.
