Final report from the CooCE project

The CooCE project have demonstrated novel biotechnological platforms, including

  • Exploited synergies between bio-CCUS and excess renewable electricity to produce biomethane equivalent to natural gas

  • Improved the bioconversion efficiency of sugar-rich waste streams to bio-succinic acid

  • Developed and optimize the process to produce polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) from CO2

  • Evaluated the technologies by an integrated sustainability assessment using techno-economic, environmental, and social criteria with a full life cycle (LCA)
